Junior Penetration Tester
Role Characteristics
The role consists in delivering state-of-the-art penetration-testing engagements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct state-of-the-art penetration testing against web applications, network infrastructures, user workstations, network appliances and other really bizarre and intriguing devices and technologies
- Write in-depth security report detailing your findings, including advisements on how to remediate the vulnerabilities to the client
- Co-deliver training workshops and presentation to educate our clients on technical IT security
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of Windows/Unix systems administration and security vulnerabilities
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (IPV6, DNS, HTTP, etc) and accompanying analytical tools (Wireshark, TCPDump, etc)
- Understanding of and the ability to perform penetration testing
- Understanding of penetration testing tools and techniques (Kali, Backtrack, Metasploit)
- Understanding of how malicious software works (malware, trojans, rootkits, etc)
- Development experience using Python, Ruby, Perl, C, or C++
- Knowledgeable about the cyber kill-chain
